Friday 29th January saw Sara and Jenny addressing the UKIIL. This is a meeting where representatives from all the Regional Film Councils get together to discuss what is happening throughout the industry, throughout the country. Each individual Council is there to support productions coming into their regions. They do this by sometimes giving grants and sometimes sourcing locations, crew etc. Nearly 50% of our clients live outside inner London and come under one of these councils and, of course, many of you travel to work within the regions. If you live within a council’s patch you should sign up with them – indeed they would welcome a visit, so do go and see them.
We felt this initial meeting was of great benefit. It’s early days, but hopefully it has opened up a dialogue for us to market our clients in their “home” regions but also to support others who are working away from their homebase.
